Kwikblast Wet Blasting England
Corecut Kwikblast Wet Blasting
Corecut leverages Quill Falcon’s premier Kwikblast Wet Blasting System. This advanced system merges water, blast media, and air to deliver an efficient yet gentle abrasive blasting method.
How it Works
Wet abrasive blasting, also called vapour abrasive blasting, effectively removes coatings, contaminants, corrosion, and residues from hard surfaces. While similar to dry sandblasting, vapour abrasive blasting’s primary advantage is reduced dust, which enhances visibility and operational precision.
Also known as wet blasting, wet abrasive blasting, vapour blasting, slurry blasting, and wet sandblasting, this method can replace dry sandblasting for most applications. However, it is especially beneficial for specific surfaces, conditions, and environments.
Wet blasters operate efficiently at lower PSI, removing coatings without damaging the underlying material. Vapour abrasive blasting is preferred for antique, fragile surfaces, and soft surfaces (like wood). Additionally, the lubricating water lowers heat from friction, avoiding metal warping.
Applications and Benefits
In England, this method is ideal for road line removal, exposing aggregate or reinforcing in concrete, removing tacky coatings, and heavy corrosion. It is also suitable for delicate removals from aircraft panels, car panels, and graffiti with soda. The Quill Falcon system is intrinsically safe for the petrochemical industry and is ideal where conventional blasting is not feasible.
Key benefits of Kwikblast wet blasting over conventional sandblasting include:
- Precision control for better results
- High efficiency with reduced atmospheric dust
- Creation of more even surfaces due to lower heat and friction
- Enhanced environmental friendliness
