Corecut Invest In New Wire Sawing Equipment
Due to continued expansion in nuclear decommissioning services, Corecut are delighted to announce that they have significantly invested in new equipment, becoming one of the first UK companies to purchase a diamond wire saw DSW 3018-E from Hilti.
The diamond wire saw DSW 3018–E is the most powerful electric wire saw ever released by Hilti and is capable of cutting up to 8m2 per hour. This cutting power is delivered by two 15kW electric motors moving the wire over the pulleys with a speed of 35m/s.
The DSW 3018-E can be used for a variety of applications including controlled demolition or dismantling of infrastructure, cutting of heavily reinforced concrete, masonry, stone or steel, underwater applications and dry wire sawing applications such as power plant decommissioning.
The DSW 3018-E offers numerous advantages when compared to other diamond wire saws. Firstly, the DSW 3018-E is much gentler on the diamond wire due to its wire tension damping system. The DSW 3018-E is also much simpler to set up and use thanks to its easy-to-fill wire storage and adjustable guide pulley system.
This purchase again reaffirms Corecut’s commitment to investing in the latest technology to provide the best possible service to their customers.
