Core Cut Ltd is a Specialist Diamond Drilling and Sawing, Hydrodemolition, and Passive Fire Protection contractor with over 45 years in the industry. We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations / Contracts Manager to join our team in our Sheffield Depot.
Applications from those with prior management experience in the Diamond Drilling & Sawing industry would be preferential; however, full consideration will be given to all applicants able to demonstrate their suitability for the role.
The Role
• Effective day-to-day operational management of site-based operatives.
• Production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and all other safety documentation required to establish and implement safe working practices.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, operatives, and management.
• Labour, plant, and material planning, including production of cost estimates for approval.
• Set cost/programme targets and monitor progress against them, providing progress reports to the Operations Director
• Identifying variations and advising on cost and programme implications.
• Assist with Business Development
• Dispute resolution where required.
• Ensure that site operations/installations are carried out safely, to an excellent standard, in a timely manner, and in accordance with our accreditations.
What You Will Need to Succeed
• Excellent organisational and people management skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop site-based teams.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to efficiently manage operatives over multiple sites daily to ensure successful contract performance.
• Proficient in using IT systems and possess clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive management approach, ability to problem solve and a positive attitude.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Willingness for occasional travel to nationwide sites and Head Office
• Live within 45 minutes of our Sheffield Depot
